This course provided wonderful tips and tricks for memorizing content, understanding topics, and testing your knowledge. The instructors were easy to schedule meetings with and responded quickly and with quality answers to any messages. I enjoyed the little tips on how to remember things. I enjoyed the pocket prep guide. I liked when the lecture was happening and the instructor would say for example if you had a question on the exam…. that helped me see how the concept would be turned into a question.

Are There CEUS offered?

Yes. We have partnered with several suppliers like the Events Industry Council.

Events Industry Council (EIC): The CMP Knowledge Training offers 25 CEUs for completion of the course, meeting the minimum requirement for the CMP examination. We save you time and money – as the course includes your learning and prep work. “OMNIPEAR has been approved by the Events Industry Council (EIC) as a Preferred Provider of the below-listed continuing education courses, which qualify for CMP continuing education credit. Determination of continuing education credit eligibility or Preferred Provider status does not imply EIC’s endorsement or assessment of education quality.”

Project Management Institute (PMI): Per the application eligibility, you can submit our course for CEUs as a Management Basics online course to help fulfill the educational prerequisite.

How long do I have access to the course?

You will have access for 9 months. Additional time can be requested. If your course expires, just let us know and we can extend the course at a reduced renewal cost of $199. Can I choose my own path? Is the course self-paced?

Is there a refund for the course?

Unfortunately, no. We do want to make sure that our members are happy, so reach out to us to see what we can do to improve your experience. We love feedback and we’ll work with you find a reasonable solution.

What happens if I fail the exam?

First, we will work to avoid this experience and don’t give up! If you do fail, we will craft a revised study plan and add other strategies so you can pass the exam. You will have access the course for additional 90 days after your first failed attempt. We will schedule additional time to uncover some of your challenges and find ways to improve your study techniques and test-taking skills.

The CMP certification programme is a two-part process in which you must complete the CMP application to demonstrate your eligibility, and then successfully pass a written examination covering the functions performed in meeting management.

For more than 30 years, Events Industry Council has defined new levels of professionalism through its Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) programme. Events Industry Council certifies individuals through an internationally recognised certification program that evaluates the competency of meeting professionals. The CMP designation represents the standard of excellence in the events industry.

How difficult is the CMP exam?

Yes, the exam is difficult but not impossible. The exam in based on the CMP International Standards (CMP-IS) and each question is tied to one of the nine domains in the CMP-IS.

All questions on the exam undergo an extensive review process by a group of meeting industry subject matter experts. These experts, as well as testing experts, ensure that the exam accurately measures a meeting professional’s level of knowledge. Only questions that measure competency and skill are included on the exam.

There are multiple versions of the CMP exam in circulation at any given time. Questions include selections from the CMP Item Bank, a database of exam questions prepared by subject matter experts and experts in testing and assessment. We highly recommend our prep course and virtual and in person boot camps.

What is the CMP-HC?

Events Industry Council launched the Certified Meeting Professional – Healthcare (CMP-HC) subspecialty in 2013 to respond to the need for event professionals in healthcare meeting management to have a way to distinguish themselves in the marketplace. Since all CMP-HCs must also hold a valid CMP certification, clients see the CMP-HC as the badge of excellence in healthcare meetings management. The CMP-HC credential is a sub speciality of the CMP and is designed to recognize those in the healthcare meetings industry that demonstrate the mastery of specific regulations, laws and best practices that must be followed when conducting a healthcare-focused meeting.
